We carry a full range of logs and log products in stock for all types of applications. It doesn't matter if your building a Garden bed, Retaining wall, Farm fence, Children's Cubby house or Bridge. We generally have the logs you need ready for delivery. The following table show just some of the standard profiles, sizes and lengths we stock.
Round Logs
These are available as perfect round logs which are generally consistent in dia along their length or as single peel logs. Perfect round logs are ideal for use as posts for fencing, building construction, piers or retaining walls. Single peel logs do not have the same quality of finish, and are more suitable for many applications where good looks are not as important as cost effectiveness. Please note that single peel logs are not available in all sizes and stock quantities do fluctuate.

Slabs
Slabs are round logs that have had two sides removed to form flat edges. This type of log is ideal for use in the construction of retaining walls and garden edging. They can be laid on top of each other and can be simply nailed together using large flat head nails or deck spikes. The size of the slab is dictated by the height from flat side to flat side and the diameter of the original log. For e.g. a 100-112 slab is 100mm from flat to flat and has been made from a 112mm round log.

Winged Split
Winged splits are made by cutting a slab down the middle. These are most commonly used for garden edging and as a cost effective rail for retaining walls. When used for walls they create the effect of using a full round log at far less expense. Easy to install and transport they are by far one of our most popular products with tradesmen and handymen alike.

Splits
Also known as half logs although this name is deceptive as the product is not a true half of a log. These are used as a cheap alternative for garden edging. While they may be used for retaining walls they are not recommended for this purpose. This is due to their inability to seal well. They were previously available in many different sizes and lengths however their reduction in popularity has meant that we stock only the standard 100mm split in three lengths 1.8, 2.4 and 3.0m. Some other stocks are available upon request.
Important Note:
Apart from these standard types of log products we are also able to supply pilings and other products for specific uses such as Telegraph poles if you have any special requirements or require specific sizes please let us know and we'll see what we can do to help. |
